our team

Helen Hall

Hi, my name is Helen and I’ve been the very proud owner of Happy Days for 15 years. I live with my husband Mike and our son Tristan, who is 19. I trained as a Montessori Teacher many years ago, and although Happy Days isn’t a Montessori Nursery, I have tried to bring some of it’s ‘best bits’ along with other teaching philosophies into our settings. My vision for Happy Days is to create a ‘home from home’ environment, treating each child as if they are our own. I am passionate about working with children and feel very privileged to be able to be part of their Learning Journey, as well as having the opportunity to support their mummy and daddy too! Welcome to my nursery! I hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate and am Safeguarding Lead for both settings.

Jenny Mitchell

Hi my name is Jenny and I have been working at Happy Days for 17 years. I have worked with all ages at Nursery, Before and After School Club and Holiday Club at our Jubilee Walk site and have recently swapped nursery for a new challenge, running the office at our Hermitage site. I am proud to be part of the Happy Days team as we work so well together, and with our children and families it feels like I have a huge extended family. I am a mother to two boys in their 20's who both live and work in the village. In my spare time I love spending time with my family and reading. I like to bake and knit and enjoy playing word games. Amongst other qualifications I have a degree in Education and Community studies and English.
